Metro Transit Northwest Restructuring Phase 1

Yay! Finally some much needed changes for the Northwest Metro begin June 2, 2007.
Major Changes:


5-Simplified to 2 branches N26th Ave. and Emerson/Osseo Rd./Brookdale
7-Takes over 32 service on Washington, night and weekend service on Plymouth.
14-Takes over 19 on the north side, and retains current 14 service
19-Takes over 5 service on Penn, and 32 sevice on York.
22-Most Trips now serve Brookdale, takes over 5 service on 51st St, Take over 19 on the south side.
29-Replaced with route 7.
32-Simplified to Robbinsdale-Rosedale only.
720-New Starlite-Maple Grove Route.
721-Simplified between Brookdale and Henn Tech.
722-Takes over part of 22 service north of Brookdale.
724-New Routing in Brooklyn Center
758-New Noble/Robbinsdale Branch
761-Simplified Schedule
762-North Minneapolis Limited Stop Route
765-New route express to Target northern campus
766-Stops in North Minneapolis are eliminated

SouthWest Transit Route Changes

Bus routes changed on April 16, 2007. These changes include route 631 adding a stop at Shady Oak P&R, 636 being improved to hourly weekday service, and a new standard routing. Buses now use Hwy. 100 in addition to Hwy. 169. Begginning on April 30, 2007 a new route 638 will be a Dial-A-Ride in Chaska connecting to the 636 to travel to Eden Prarie or Minneapolis. Local Laker Link

Local Laker Link in Prior Lake is a summer shuttle route and is numbered 491. Operations will begin on June 11, 2007 and will end on July 31, 2007. There is a north Prior Lake route, a south Prior Lake route and a shuttle from Prior Lake to Shakopee (includes Valleyfair). Check it out at:www.cityofpriorlake.com/transit.shtml.
